The limited liability company Skonto-Metals (SM) is the largest dry bulk cargo forwarding company in the Republic of Latvia. The company's main business is to provide forwarding services for transit coal transportation via the territory of Latvia. As of 2007, SM is 100% owned by RTO. 

In 2008, SM handled more than 6.4 million tons of cargo and total revenues exceeded 55.5 million Euros. The company employs 15 professionals. SM is the member of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), the Latvian Association of Freight Forwarders (LAFF) and the Transit Business Association of Latvia (LTBA).

The clients of SM are the largest Russian coal exporters and producers, including SUEK AG, NORD PORT TRANSIT, MIR TRADE, TALTEK and BELON.
